Based in Kansas, Pro Card International has been in business for a little over a decade. Procard International claims to have access to a listing of home based job opportunities that promise to pay between $35,000 and $50,000 per year. The company voluntarily provides information about their standings with the Better Business Buearu, but I have to wonder whether or not this company ranks amongst the other scams on the market.

The company sells membership programs which gives individuals access to discount medical programs. Members can search a database to find participating dentists, optomitrists, and health care providers in their areas. The Procard can be presented in these participating offices in order for members to enjoy discounts. I was surprised at the size of the network of health care providers they have established.

ProcardInternational.com has spent time over the past few years incorporating new features into the program. They now have an affiliated website, known as LocalDiscounts.com, which gives members access to discounts at gyms, restaurants, and a myriad of other businesses.

The home based business opportunities that Procard International has to offer are affiliate programs with Procard itself. If you choose to work as a Referral Rewards Associate, you will have to market and promote both the Procard business opportunity and discount card. The company will provide you with training and leads, but you'll have to implement a variety of marketing methods to drive referrals to the site. You'll probably have to spend a little bit to launch your marketing campaign.

Procard International also offers positions as Marketing Associates. Associates are responsible for handling customer service inquires. Some of the people who have contacted me regarding Procard have stated that the company will reimburse associates for long distance phone services, but I have not yet found that information in writing.

If neither of the above jobs suit you consider becoming a LocalDiscounts.com Associate. These associates are responsible for contacting local businesspersons and asking them to participate in the program. Sounds like a fun and easy job, especially if you have good relationships within your local business community.

The Pro Card International website states that you do not have to pay a fee to work for them, but that you need an active membership to receive commissions. Seems like a small contradiction to me.

On the upside, you and your family stand to benefit from all of the discounts the programs have to offer. As always, be sure to read the terms of service before you join. Better to be safe than sorry when entering any new business venture.

I've heard from lots of people who claim to be earning a fairly substantial income with Procard International. Of course, others are not doing well with the system, but there is no way to know what they're doing to market their program or to find out why they are not achieving the success they desire.

Working for a company like Pro Card International requires dedication and commitment. It's a long term business opportunity that will require more than an hour here and an hour there. You'll have to develop your own marketing methods, above and beyond what the company is teaching you. You will also have to find ways to develop and generate your own leads.
