The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth
The One Minute Millionaire was created by Robert G. Allen and Mark Victor Hansen as a new approach to the "how to" market. Hansen, the author of the fiction books in the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series, combined his skills with Allen's real estate and unique wealth building experiences to write a book that caught the interest of thousands of readers.
This entertaining book was written in a creative style. The book allows the reader to follow a fictional story but the business strategies used within the story are real and applicable to every day life. Many people have wondered whether or not this book was written as a creative marketing ploy or if the authors really intended to help others succeed at building wealth.
I read the book and, while I found it entertaining, parts of it left me concerned. One section of the book is supposed to focus on an enlightened method to build wealth, taking a self-help approach to the methods one would use to become successful. I felt as thought the book included more motivational speak than actual business strategy or information.
Robert Allen has been accused of merely recycling his old real estate material and incorporating it into The One Minute Millionaire. Critics claim he is using the information in the book to encourage readers to purchase some of his other books and courses.
The book is about a woman who endeavors to earn one million dollars over the course of three months. We know this is not a realistic scenario, and the results she achieves in the book are just as unrealistic. I can honestly say you won't be missing out on anything if you decide to NOT read this book.
Robert Allen's companies have been in business for over two decades. In that time he has filed for bankruptcy and has been the subject of lawsuits and IRS investigations. After over 20 years in business, however, his business strategies have only helped a handful of people become successful; that is, IF it was actually his advice that led them to success.
The real estate market is incredibly lucrative if you know how to work it. You will never, however, meet a real estate investor who claims to have gotten his start from The One Minute Millionaire. Real estate gurus tend to provide simplistic information intended to get your hopes up, but the reality of the situation is that successful real estate investing takes serious time and research.
After examining and testing hundreds of money-making opportunities and work at home programs, ONLY ONE brought in a paycheck that covered all my monthly expenses.
