The juice itself is supposed to consist of a unique blend of nineteen exotic fruits, most importantly the Acai berry from Brazil. The Acai berry is well known because of it's high antioxidant levels. The juice of the Acai berry also contains minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, phytonutrients, and minerals. The company recommends drinking at least two to four ounces of the juice every day in order to gain maximum benefit.

Because the product is not an FDA approved drug, marketing the product by claiming health benefits is very difficult to do. The company instead makes simple statements about how the product helps fight free radicals and how it will contribute to a healthy lifestyle. Even though the FDA limits the way the company promotes the product, there is no stopping independent distributors from telling their own word-of-mouth stories. Some talk about how the product helped control their diabetes symptoms while others claim it helped to relieve joint pain.

These claims are merely anecdotes and there is no documented proof that the juice contributed to any changes or improvements in the health of those who drank it. There is no way of knowing whether or not the health benefits people claim to be experiencing are because of the blend of juices in Monavie, or if they can be obtained from other sources as well.
