Loral Langemeier
As the CEO of Live Out Loud, Loral Langemeier is an authority on subject of wealth and financial success. Her financial education center is well known and her reputation as earned her the privilege of appearing as a guest speaker at seminars and on television. She’s a prominent author and many of her books have gone on to become best sellers.
Langemeier bases all of her books and educations programs on a concept she developed known as Wealth Cycle Investing. She uses the forums on the Live Out Loud website as a resource for her students, encouraging them to build independent business networks amongst themselves. She believes that the ability to network is essential to success, and it is generally always someone you know that will be able to provide you with the resource you need at just the right time.
Loral has received both positive and negative criticism. Many believe that her information is too simplistic and lacks the detail most new entrepreneurs want to find. Langemeir, for example, strongly suggests that everyone should start their own business but never tells anyone how to do so. Considering how important this step is to her, you’d think she would provide some more detailed and valuable information.
Her advice has earned a reputation as being misleading. She would have you believe that forming a corporation or LLC is an excellent way of reducing your annual tax liability because so many expenses can be written off as deductions. She does not, on the other hand, bother to clarify that the deductions must be for business expenses.
Langemeier’s ideas seem good, but most of them are unrealistic and wasteful. What individual or small business owner really needs to form a team consisting of a lawyer, CPA, broker, and investor? Professionals of these caliber charge hefty fees just to be on retainer. I know I certainly can’t afford their services.
On the upside, Loral Langemeier’s programs and books are incredibly motivational. Her products are wonderful for those who are on the edge and aren’t sure whether or not they really want to start a business. They’ll either encourage you to get started or at least give you the motivation to do a little more serious research.
Loral’s products might give you something to think about, but they aren’t going to teach you how to obtain your true goals. If you’re looking for concrete information, Loral Langemeier’s products are not worth your time or money.
