Liberty League
Liberty League is one of the most talked-about programs on the market today. I thought I'd take a closer look at the program to see what it's all about. While I wish I hadn't wasted my time, I'm glad I can share what I've learned with others in order to encourage them to steer clear of this program.
Founded by Brent Payne and Shane Krider, Liberty League was designed to promote seminars geared towards personal growth and development as well as motivation. The initial business investment is $1,200 to join, but the costs don't stop there. You are encouraged to attend various seminars in order to build your business empire. Most of the seminars have a price tag of over $5,000 for attendance. Each seminar stresses the importance of attending additional seminars in order to become successful. Each seminar costs more to attend then the first. Some come with price tags well over $10,000.
You earn money not by selling products, but by recruiting new members. You will supposedly earn a commission for each new individual you recruit, who will then in turn spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to attend - you guessed it - more seminars. The commission schedule is pretty generous, and I'm not surprised to hear that those sitting at the top (of the pyramid!) are very successful.
The Liberty organization has openly admitted that there are a number of people who never meet their initial sales goals. Those people never earn a dime!
February 2008 - UPDATE!
I have received over 200 emails from people who have participated in this program. Almost every single email detailed a negative experience with the company. Some never made any money at all, while others started out on the right path but quickly became disenchanted with the product, or lack thereof.
I received an email from a gentleman in Colorado who claimed he was, at one point, making over $40,000 a month. His sales eventually slowed down, but his real concern was the weakness of the actual product and the program itself. I'm sure he misses his bankroll, but I hope he's moved on to a more legitimate business opportunity than Liberty League.
After examining and testing hundreds of money-making opportunities and work at home programs, ONLY ONE brought in a paycheck that covered all my monthly expenses.
