Kevin Trudeau

I don't trust Kevin Trudeau, and for good reason. You may have heard of him or seen his infomercials on television. Trudeau was ordered by the FTC to stop his major advertising campaigns because they felt his methods were sneaky and deceptive. Trudeau has created a myriad of products. Some of his most popular include "Mega Memory System," "Action Reading System," "The Mega Reading System," "Hair Farming," and "An Addiction Breaking System."

Trudeau was recently fined by the FTC and ordered to pay consumer redress - a fine that reimburses cheated consumers and pays them punitive damages. This fine is handed down when consumers complain that they have been taken advantage of. Mega Systems International, Inc. and Jeffrey Salberg, in charge of Kevin's infomercials, were fined thousands of dollars along with him.

Kevin's infomercials are very lengthy and tend to look like news interviews as opposed to commercials. This advertising concept is considered misleading because consumers often do not realize they are only watching a fabricated infomercial. Kevin was ordered by the FTC to stop using this type of advertising method because it looks like real news when it is not. Trudeau wanted his infomercials to entertain the public, in the hopes that they would not change the channel as most people do when they see long commercials. Have you ever seen the large paid advertisement notices at the bottom of the screen during an infomercial? Trudeau is the reason the FTC started requiring this disclaimer be placed at the beginning of infomercials as they air.

Kevin Trudeau brings a lot of thoughts to mind - he's a fraudulent marketer, decieves the public, and participates in false advertising campaigns. I will never purchase another product marketed under his name and I refuse to let anyone in my family purchase from him either. His name goes on our "NOT RECOMMENDED" list, and will likely stay there for a very long time.
