John Commuta
How I ran into John Commuta.
A recent visit to a used book store led me to find a box of self-help and wealth building books. Someone had brought the box in so that it's contents could be sold on consignment. I quickly noted the value of the contents within the box, offered the clerk $75 for the box, and went home to sort through my newfound treasure. One of the products in the box was John Commuta's course, Turning Debt into Wealth.
I was familiar with the Commuta name, having heard him on radio talk shows. He spoke on subjects concerning debt elimination and wealth building while continuously trying to sell his course. His commercial was professional and informational - enough to make someone feel as though the program he had to offer would actually help them to eliminate their debts. As it turns out, the business of debt consolidation is HUGE!
The information contained in John's course is excellent for beginners or those in a crisis. The information was not new or original and reminded me of other similar informational courses written by Charles Givens and Robert Kiyosaki. They all tell you to stop using your credit cards and to double your mortgage payments. Reducing living expenses and paying down one debt at a time is also recommended. Unlike some programs, John recommends paying down the highest amount first. It's all good advice, but there's nothing new about it.
The course offers information on how to build wealth as well. His ideas about building wealth are far from original, encouraging readers to become affiliate marketers, participate in eBay auctions, participate in internet marketing, and investing in real estate. Commuta does not provide any information on how to get started or maintain any of these programs. You might as well go out and buy programs from other sources if you're looking for any sort of solid outline.
The course John Commuta has put together isn't impressive at all. It starts off strong, but slowly goes downhill - as though he ran out of ideas and finished the course by writing a lot of fluff material. Maybe he'll come out with another course to finish this one off, but I doubt I'll ever get in line to buy it.
After examining and testing hundreds of money-making opportunities and work at home programs, ONLY ONE brought in a paycheck that covered all my monthly expenses.
