Internet Speedway
Internet Speedway was developed by a software company based out of Chandler, AZ. The program is supposed to help entrepreneurs start successful internet businesses.
The internet is becoming a popular place to start a business, and software firms all over are taking advantage of this information in order to produce products aimed at making website design easier. StoresOnline.com offers a program very similar to Speedway, but StoresOnline.com will cost you more than you are likely willing to spend.
When you join you are provided with a website store that you can stock with products from their exclusive warehouse. Unfortuantely, this website is not designed to be unique to your own personality. Instead, it is a replicated site that looks exactly like all of the other Internet Speedway (TM) websites on the web. Search engines do not like replicated websites, which makes advertising even more difficult. You might find yourself resorting to email campaigns or other, similarly expensive, advertising methods.
Have you ever heard the hold saying, "Try to sell something to everyone and you will sell nothing to anyone." Large retail stores can do it, but I doubt you're trying to compete with department stores. You'll need to develop a niche market and stock your website with products from that market alone. Marketing a website that sells "everything" is a logistical nightmare.
You can join Ispeedway.com for a very low introductory price of $10. That price seems too good to be true because it is. After your free trial you must pay $349 to continue with the program, which offers 6 months of free web hosting. After the first six months you must pay your own hosting fees. The folks at Internet Speedway are quick to let you know that in order to make a real profit you should upgrade to a "super store." The cost? A mere $3,500.
Some of the replicated Ispeedway sites I have seen weren't too shabby, but I could tell from the counters at the bottom of the page that the sites weren't getting many visitors.
In order to succeed with Internet Speedway, you'll need to have your own knowledge of internet marketing techniques. The site owners aren't giving you any help as far as marketing is concerned. If you're looking to have a website you can share with friends and family, this might be an option, albeit an expensive one. If you're looking to make real money online, I suggest looking for an alternative.
After examining and testing hundreds of money-making opportunities and work at home programs, ONLY ONE brought in a paycheck that covered all my monthly expenses.
