The Federal Grants Network website is run by yet another company that promises to give members access to a comprehensive list of government grants. This company is in no way affiliated with the federal government of the United States of America.

The website promises to give you access to a gigantic list of grants that will enable you to find money for a variety of needs. They claim you can get grants for your business, to fund personal purchases, to pay for college, or to help you purchase a home. In my experience, websites promising access to government grants should be approached with extreme caution.

The field of government grants is filled with scam artists. Everyone wants you to believe that the government is just dying to give away a pile of free money, and this just isn't the case. I have not heard from anyone who has ever received a grant with the information they received from one of these companies.

The FederalGrantsNetwork.com website is also accused of participating in deceptive accounting and billing practices. This company, like many others, promises to send you a CD for free if you pay a small shipping fee. The company keeps your credit card information and then charges a monthly fee if you do not call and cancel the free trial you didn't even know you were signing up for.

The company terms of service do state that you must cancel within a specific period of time in order to avoid being charged for accepting their membership program. Unfortunately, most people who believe they are receiving a FREE product don't read the terms of service carefully, if at all. Most end up paying monthly fees without even realizing they've been scammed.

I have heard from quite a few FederalGrantsNetwork.com members who confirmed that the time they spent with the program was unproductive. A few claimed that the introductory CD never arrived and some claimed they never received the information they needed to access the company website. I DO NOT recommend doing any sort of business with Federal Grants Network.
