ACNI had never heard of ACN Inc.com before being asked to write this review. Based out of Michigan, they are known as a telecommunications firm that offers long distance and local telephone plans. Their services also include digital phone service and other products related to the area of telecommunications. This well known international company has been in existance for almost two decades and operates in just as many countries. At one point, they launched a home business opportunity which extended into Australia. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission investigated the company and didn't like what they found. A judge in the Australian courts ruled that they were not a real business opportunity, but instead viewed it as a pyramid scheme. It's easy to understand why they might think that. With a start-up fee of $500 for new members to join the business, the commissions would be higher if a member focused on signing up new recruits instead of marketing the products sold. The ruling the court made was eventually reversed, but their reputation was severely damaged by the incident. In today's market, it is incredibly difficult to make a living as a salesperson if the only thing you have to offer is a telephone calling plan. This company does still encourage its affiliates to resell the business opportunity to friends, family, and acquaintances. The ACN Inc.com business model is not something I'd ever want to be involved in. I have been contacted by those who were representatives in the past and they news was pretty discouraging. Some claimed that the company made held them responsible for paying the bills that those in their down-line had not paid!
